In the policy statement, the committee removed the reference to “some additional policy firming may be appropriate” and instead said that they will assess if more policy firming is needed by taking into “account the cumulative tightening of monetary policy, the lags with which monetary policy affects economic activity and inflation, and economic and financial developments”.
